Egypt Overview It’s easy to understand why Egypt has proved so popular over recent years, not only does the country rank as one of the most spectacular sightseeing destinations in the world it offers visitors an unbeatable all year round climate, low cost of living, a popular retirement destination and benefits from the rental and investment opportunities. Egypt is situated in Northern Africa bordering the Mediterranean Sea. The country is built around the Nile valley, a very fertile land bordering the river and two seas. Few places in the world offer such diversity as the Red Sea, which is renowned for its warm clear waters that are ideal for snorkelling, swimming and also captures the underwater treasures and attractions. The spectacular coral reef attracts divers from all over the world with more than a thousand species of vibrant marine life plus all the various shipwrecks. Golf is also becoming increasingly popular and there are several top class courses. Other activities such as horse and camel riding, quad biking and desert safaris are enjoyed by tourists. Alternatively Egypt has the inspiring Pyramids and temples with the splendours of ancient Egyptian architecture, the only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world still in existence. Egypt is experiencing high tourism levels due to the enhanced infrastructure with even higher predictions estimated for the next few years, within this plan there are 52 projects including port development, power systems and improved transport. Egypt has become a high performing international economy resulting in high levels of foreign direct investment. With 72,000,000 inhabitants Egypt represents a quarter of the Arab world and since the nineteenth century has been evolving at very high speed with its political, economical and cultural life undergoing striking changes. The property market has been relatively shielded from the global crisis and therefore continues to attract holiday makers, visitors and buyers.

Egypt originally gained partial independence from the Uk back in 1922, and full independence in 1952 and has a stable republic government led by Mr Hosni Mubarak who has been president of Egypt since 1991, following the assassination of Anwar Sadat. The Economy in recent years has gone through reforms to improve GDP, attractive inward investment from overseas focusing primarily on revenues from manufacturing, tourism and Suez canal revenues. With the fertile lands of the Nile majority of Egypt’s work force approximately 30% are involved with agriculture of one kind or another, and the plans are to diversify.
Egypt History
<b1> Egypt History </b1>
With a legacy of historical and ancient heritage this was the foundation of Tourism growth and policy. For thousands of years Egypt, The Legacy which was left by the pharaohs, has inspired many with its amazing monuments of the past, Pyramids the tombs of the Pharaohs located at the valley of the Kings near Luxor and the Pyramids of Giza just outside Cairo. The ancient Egyptians are renowned builders of vast temples to the gods which they saw as a goal of the pharoah to show respect and many of these huge temples were built by many thousands of workers through the lifetime of the Pharoah and was considered a legacy of the Pharoah to the Gods. Many of this places of Interest are located along the Nile, like the religious centre at the city of Thebes at Luxor,The temple at Abu Simbel located near Aswan which still remain. Due these locations being such vast structures and left very much undiscovered until the late 19th Century so nowhere on the planet can such ancient monuments and antiquities still be seen fairly intact,.. Many films and books have been written on the myths, curses of the Pharaohs and the generally awe inspiring legacy of the pharaohs, this has been appealing to many. Now with affordable flights and infrastructure in place the opportunity to visit these phenomena, located nearby is the Red Sea Riviera with all year sunshine, stunning scenery. Many of the finest coral reefs have begun a mecca for divers facilities and have expanded rapidly with many 5 star hotels appearing around the resorts. People feel that Egypt will become one of the Meccas for property investment in forthcoming years, Most Red Sea resorts have their own international airports which are encouraging tourists into these areas, the appeal is growing and significant growth statistics have been demonstrated in these areas.

Inspired by many other nations and the government plans to promote increases in GDP from foreign countries, Egypt real estate was born with the opening of the opportunity and system for the opportunity for overseas national to purchase freehold properties. Now seen by many looking for affordable holiday homes and much cheaper holidays than the Euro zone which as seen to become more expensive which have priced themselves out of the market and now see a affordable alternatives to property investment to more traditional European, Russian and Middle Eastern destinations. .Many see after the crash of the Spanish real estate market and the Euro new opportunities, with many Uk, Russian and German investors showing much interest. Egypt Real Estate whilst in its infancy is in its infancy with developments in Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada and neighbouring resorts of Marsa alam Shal Hasheesh starting to expand. With developments now supported by large known developers delivering quality real estate developments at a fraction of the cost of European and UAE developments. The Egyptian government is looking to promote tourism over the forthcoming years with major plans to expand facilities in the red sea resorts, the property market we feel is on a major positive growth curve.
